Not as far as i'm aware, it still de-equips when you go to trade window i think.

The best thing i can see for Giratina-O is some form of TR poke, but since Shadow Force and TR aren't really a good fit (thou going first vanishing, TR ending and then you appearing last is funny at times for basically a 2 turn protect).

Maybe the Calm Mind set with Relaxed nature instead could work, thou the lose of recovery from Leftovers/Rest+Chesto will probably hurt it. But might get more Calm Minds in from protect stalling on the TR.

I think Giratina-O could be great under Trick Room, as long as it's not one of your leads and you don't rely on it as your main TR attacker. Shadow Force under TR is definitely not a bad thing, since if Giratina goes first on the last turn of TR and dissapears, it can't be hit, then TR wears off, and it will go last the next turn, and can't be hit! Although you just said that, I thought I would echo that statement.

And no, I don't think the Origin Forme should ever use Calm Mind. If you're going to use Calm Mind, stick with Giratina-A.

Sorry for the double post, but I just wanted to make sure.
If we were to make an Origin Forme analysis, would the moveset look something like this?

Giratina @ Griseous Orb
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Hasty
EVs: 252 Attack/ 6 Sp. Attack/ 252 Speed
-Shadow Force
-Draco Meteor
-Shadow Sneak
-Protect

Now, my main question is, does it really need 252 Attack EVs? How many does it need to get essential KO's, and could the rest be put into HP or the defenses? If so, how many, and what stat would the rest be put into? Just HP, or Sp. Defense? Calcs please!

Sitrus Berry and Haban berry are very useful on Giratina.  If your leating with it you could use Lum Berry.  If its a rest variant chesto berry is helpful.  And of course you could use Giresous Orb and go with Giratina-O

Thunder Wave/ChestoRest seems like a good supporting set.

any rest is horrible, CM rest still loses to other tinas. and personally ive found Yache to be the best item on him, 2nd place comes haban. safeguard is definately a good move on Giratina now (although it may be very late in this dying metagame) alot of stall blisseys and shuckles and shit have been running around with toxic and ive even seen some other tinas with will-o-wisp.

Giratina@ Choice Scarf
Ability: Pressure
Nature: Hasty
EV's: 252 Att / 4 Sp Att / 252 Spe
- Shadow Force
- Dragon Claw
- Shadow Sneak
- Safeguard / Will-o-wisp

From the analysis, what are the SpA EVs for, exactly?

If you put draco meteor on the set then you need the SpA EVs other wise I would just go with a jolly or adamant nature for tina

It would, but a Physical Giratina is less likely to get walled in this year's metagame.

I would've replied DAYS ago, but I never went around to it.
